Here’s Why You Should Host Your Holiday Party At Bike Glendhu

If you’re one of those people who have had your staff Christmas party planned since, well, the end of last year’s party – then congratulations! There’s got to be an award out there for the “Most Organized Boss Ever”.

But if you’re like most of Wanaka, you’re probably rubbing your eyes and staring blankly at your computer/phone right now, trying to do the mental math for how many months there are until the holidays and then wondering why the hell we’re bringing it up right now.

But like most things, the holiday season is going to creep up on us and before you know it, you’ll have a roomful of staff wondering what epic thing you’ve got planned for their Christmas party. And thanks to the folks here at Bike Glendhu, you’ll have an answer for them.

Here’s why you should host your staff Christmas party (or for that matter, any party) at Bike Glendhu.

Bike Glendhu is first and foremost a mountain bike park, but we acknowledge that you may have some staff members that have never tried biking before or aren’t really hard-outs. And that’s totally fine! At Bike Glendhu, we have trails to suit riders of all abilities; from meandering, beautiful greens to janky blacks. Everyone in your crew can find something to please and we have a feeling that even the most reluctant bikers will end the day stoked.

Along with our range of trail options, we know not everyone is down to pedal. Especially if we get lucky with some beautifully hot weather around the holiday season. And that’s totally okay, because we have shuttle options that can get your crew to various spots on the mountain.

Our Jack’s Spot van shuttle can give your team a boost to Jack’s Spot, which is kind of like the ‘hub’ of the mountain. From there, you can choose to keep pedaling up to the mid or upper mountain, or you can ride the beginner and intermediate options on the lower mountain.

Alternatively, you can also book in our Can-Am shuttles and these babies are FUN. Hop in a side-by-side and take on any uphill terrain that the mountain throws at you. In the Can-Am , we can get your crew all over the mountain.

For those that have already been out to Bike Glendhu, you’re probably familiar with Base 334, our base area where Ticketing, Retail, Rentals and Velo Cafe & Beer Garden are all located. This place is perfect for post-ride festivities, with lush grass, bean bags and cabana-style seating. As Bike Glendhu’s on-site cafe, Velo Café & Beer Garden serves delicious and nutritious free-range eats, all handmade by our in-house head chef; Common Ground coffee, fresh out of Dunedin; and locally brewed craft beers and beverages. And they’re here to cater to your gathering.

Probably the most admin part of planning a staff do is organizing it. Who’s coming, who’s not, what’s the activity, what to eat… it goes on and on. Let us take the work out of it for you. We’ve got pre-bundled packages to choose from that take the hard yards out of the process. Take a look at the package menu, simply let us know which bundle you’re after and we’ll do the rest.

But, if you after a little customization, no worries. We can help you out with that too. Just ask!

We’re slotting holiday staff parties into our calendar now, so don’t wait! Check out our Parties page to learn more and reach out to us to get ‘er locked in!
