Huuuuge thanks for everyone who has come out and supported us over the last couple of weeks – ridden the trails, drank the coffee, posted the pics and shared the love. It really made us feel like all the hard work was worthwhile and we’re very, very grateful.
We kicked off opening week with our season pass holders afternoon which was amazing. So many of you guys turned out to pick up your passes, ride the trails and talk biking over a beer and a snag. It was rad to have our biggest supporters all together sharing the stoke. Some may have got a bit emotional, eh John.
The next day we welcomed the public and were excited by the numbers that turned out… on Sunday our carpark and overflow carpark were full to the brim with people checking out the trails. The vibe was awesome, even at the summit after pedalling up in the heat of the day. But that view seems to make everything OK!
On Friday the café opened and the coffee started to flow which really adds to the experience and we’re loving all the positive feedback making its way back. They’re getting into the swing of things now, so keep an eye out for some exciting announcements from Jesse & Evelyn soon!
Last Monday we had the crew from Mons out shooting some bits & bobs with Conor, Phoebe and Sam. It was great to welcome Conor & Phoebe back to the hill – the last time they shot here was our first ever “check out our sweet hill… which will one day have trails” shoot back in October 2018. Hoping to see a bit more of both of them throughout the season.
Then later in the week we had a swag of legends swing by on their way to Farm Jam. Casey Brown, Brett Rheeder, and our old buddy Brandon Semenuk all popped in for a ride so was awesome to chat with them and get their views on the trails.
We rounded out week one with our first local bike shop “shred session” with the team from Racer’s Edge closing their shop early to come out, smash a lap on e-bikes and find out what we’re all about.
We rolled into weekend two and got loads more folks out on the trails – and a lot of repeat customers which makes us very happy, hopefully it means you’re enjoying the trails as much as we’d hoped! And then… our first closed day. The weather seems to be going from one extreme to the next so keep an eye on our website homepage and social media for updates!
So, all in all, a pretty happy bunch out here at Glendhu. But we’re very aware that there are still a few things to absolutely “nail”, so we would hugely appreciate your time to fill out a feedback form here
as we’re keen to get your views (positive and negative please – we can handle it!) so we can continue to improve.
Hope to see you out here again soon to ride trails and have a laugh. That is the reason we exist, after all.
