FAQs
There is no minimum capacity to make a group booking for your party, excluding the Biker’s Banquet, which requires a minimum of 10 people. For groups and parties packages, our maximum capacity is determined by how many rental bikes are available. Bike Glendhu has 36 bikes in our rental fleet (26 e-bikes + 10 full-suspension bikes suitable for adults) plus some kids’ bikes too. If some people in your group have their own mountain bikes, we can host well over 36 people.
Yes, we require a 20% deposit to confirm the booking. Final payment is due 1 week prior to booking date.
Typically, within our operational hours. However, if you have a bigger event, please get in touch and we may be able to host outside of these hours if required.
No – we have a range of group packages which offer catered and non-catered packages to suit your needs.
No, this is due to Velo café’s liquor licence. We have a range of beverages available at Velo, including icy-cold tap beer.
All passes are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable (except for season passes and multi-day passes when a Pass Protection Policy was purchased). If you’ve had a change in plans, we can change your booking to another day (subject to availability). If the booking is cancelled on the day, the package will not be refunded. If it is within 24 hours, you will receive a 50% refund. If it is more than 24 hours in advance, a full refund less 20% booking fee.
Please see our terms and conditions or contact Tickets for more information.
Mountain biking is an outdoor activity, as such, we are at the mercy of nature. The following conditions apply to weather events, trail closures and park closures:
- If the park is closed for any reason, we will aim to re-book to another available date or provide a full refund.
- As the season progresses, we have occasional trail closures due to trail conditions. In the case that some trails are closed all pricing remains the same.
- If the park closes part way through the rental session, every effort will be made to rebook the remaining time for another date, or a partial refund for the remaining session time will be applied.
- This policy extends to our heli products which can also be at the mercy of weather. Where possible Bike Glendhu will attempt to re-book the customer should the conditions not be suitable to fly in, otherwise a full refund will be provided.
Please see our terms and conditions or contact Ticketing for more information.
December is our busiest time for group bookings so we would recommend booking a month or two in advance depending on how flexible you are on dates and what you are after. We can do last-minute bookings (subject to availability) so don’t hesitate to get in touch and we will see what we can do!
Absolutely! Velo Café can cater for dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free (excluding coeliac) and dairy-free. Please enquire for further information; dietary requirements must be included on the enquiry form.
You can add more people to your booking, provided that we have availability for rental bikes/shuttles. You will need to provide enough notice for our café to prepare for more guests – please contact Tickets for more information.
Absolutely! We can organise a cake for your group/party booking – please ensure you include this on the enquiry form.
Our park report is updated daily – please check this on the day of your booking. If it’s raining and the trails are riding well, we will stay open – it all depends on the day/current trail conditions. Give us a call if you are unsure. If the park is closed due to weather or trail conditions, we will aim to move you to another date however if this is not possible we can provide a refund.
Please bring sensible shoes, a drink bottle or hydration pack, sunblock, and extra layers – you never know what the weather is going to do out in the hills! If you are not renting a bike, don’t forget to bring your helmet! If you are hiring a bike, a helmet will be provided. For those who get peckish on the trails, bring a few pocket snacks too.
You should also know that we are single-use plastic-free, so you’ll need to bring your own drink bottle or purchase a reusable one at Base 334.
