Nine long months of shredding:

In case you need a reminder, riding season in Wānaka is epically long. For three short winter months, we close our doors and give our trails a rest, but for the rest of the nine months? It’s all go!

Our season kicks off with enough hours for you to make the most of the shorter days and cooler weather. And when the time changes, we keep the park open for even longer. During our peak summer months, you’ll find the park open for 12 hours a day from 8 am–8pm giving you a full day of riding.

For full season hours, click here!

No queues, no blackout periods:

Once we open our doors, season pass holders will be able to ride every day that we are open, even on our busiest days during school holidays. We don’t have any blackout conditions with our season pass purchases, so as long as our trails are open, you’re free to ride as much as your legs can handle.

You also won’t find any long queues here either at Bike Glendhu. The automated gates scan your pass and once you’re through the gates, you’re on your way. Our 35+ km of trails give you plenty of space to ride without feeling crowded. If you pick your times right, you might even feel like you have the entire park to yourself.

10% off van shuttles:

Not feeling up for a pedal? No prob. Our van shuttles to Jack’s Spot help you skip the big climb, so you’re free to enjoy that downhill bliss. Shuttles are also great for the wee groms who don’t quite have the leg power to propel themselves up to Jack’s Spot.

This year, all season pass holders get 10% off of van shuttles all year long. Use your season passcode to buy online or redeem your discount in person at the ticketing office.

10% off at Velo Cafe

Yep, you read that right. This year, all season pass holders get 10% off* at Velo Cafe! Velo is open daily serving up some of the tastiest pies you’ll find in the Upper Clutha region plus heaps of other delicious treats to refuel the tanks after a long day on the trails.

The team at Velo take their food seriously and they don’t skimp on the details. With free-range meat, fair trade and organic coffee, and a tap line filled with local brews from b.effect brewing co, you’ll find plenty of options to fill you up. Enjoy your aprés in the beer garden with some of the best views in town!

*10% discount not valid during summer school holidays (December 20 – Feb 6th)

50% off Buddy Pass for a mate

Biking is better with friends and we know that sometimes it’s hard to coax a new bike buddy to try a new trail which is why this year, all season pass purchasers will have one discounted buddy pass to giveaway for the season. The Buddy Pass is valid all season long without any blackout dates so that you can choose when to ride.

New trails coming to Bike Glendhu

At the end of the day, it’s all about the riding which is why we are committed to growing our trail network this season. The team at Dirt Dynamics have been working hard this winter to build two new trails off Monsoon Hoon: one blue tech/flow trail similar to Rocky Borrow Show and a new black trail with some tech riding through the natives. Both trails are scheduled to open this spring.

We’ve got heaps of exciting trails in the pipeline, so watch this space throughout the season!

Investing in our regenerative focus

We have an ambitious and exciting goal of planting 30,000 native plants in the park by 2030 and this year, we’ll be donating a percentage of all pass purchases to our planting promise.

Bike Glendhu is fully off the grid. We use that big fiery ball in the sky to power our offices, our ticketing space, our café and our workshop. We try our best not to create much waste by not offering single-use plastics in the café and by not having paper trail maps in our ticketing office. We recycle everything we can and compost all food waste on-site which we eventually use in our garden. For the inevitable waste we do have, we are investing in building good systems that address our waste impact.

When you purchase a pass and ride at Bike Glendhu, you are investing in regenerative tourism. You’re supporting the growth of native trees, reusable energy and a different way of doing things that doesn’t harm the land we occupy. We feel incredibly grateful to occupy this stunning piece of land and we’ll do everything in our power to make sure we not only preserve it but make it better for generations to come.

Buy your 2022.23 Season Pass now.

Surely you don’t need more convincing. Our Early Bird Season Passes won’t be around for long, so don’t sleep on our biggest sale of the year.
