Heli Bike

Heli biking like you’ve never experienced before! Fly to Falcon’s Nest and see the best of Glendhu Bay. Meet at Base to collect your tickets and load up in the van shuttle. The van will drop you and your personal Bike Glendhu guide off at Aspiring Helicopters where you’ll load up and get ready to fly. Enjoy the short scenic flight overlooking stunning Rocky Mountain and Glendhu Bay before circling back to get expansive views of the Motatapu Valley and the iconic Aspiring Valley.

Scope out the trails from above before landing near Falcon’s Nest, the summit of Bike Glendhu! Your guide will provide plenty of banter, historical context of the land and of course, tips and tricks to make the most of your Glendhu experience. Your trail pass is valid for the entire day so you can truly explore the vast trail network on offer.

Bike Glendhu is committed to it’s regenerative focus with a goal to give back more than we take. To stay true to our mission, all heli products will be fully offset by our tree planting program.

FAQ

The guided experience (from loading up at Base 334 to riding down to Jack’s Spot) will take about an hour. From there, you can do as many unguided laps as you’d like!

We recommend bringing a water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing (bring layers if it looks like a cooler day!), and a phone/camera to catch the action. If you plan on being out in the park for a while, it’s also a good idea to bring some snacks. You can store a small backpack/hydration pack on your lap in the heli.

Our trail from Falcon’s Nest is graded as intermediate (blue). The trail is 1.5km of super-fun flow with optional features, taking you down to Boulders Cross. From here, you can tackle some of the black trails or make your way down more blue trails to Jack’s Spot (blue and green trail options from Jack’s). Our guide can help you find a track suited for your level of riding.

The price of our heli bike experience depends on how many riders are in your group.
