CURRENT VACANCIES
Bike Glendhu is opening at the stunning Glendhu Bay, Wanaka this summer, and we are in need of a bike rental ace to support our mechanic & ticketing team. Your day to day will consist of bikes and people so ideally you’ll have a fondness for both.
You’ll know your way around a bike as you’ll be the last to lay your hands on them before sending it out with a frothing customer for the day. You might not be Wanaka’s best mechanic yet, but you’ll be keen to learn.
Most importantly you’ll be the last port of call before customers head out on the trails, so you’ll be 100% up to speed with everything going on out in the park, you’ll love a good yarn, and you’ll be their biggest supporter.
We’ll be a small tight-knit team so you’ll have the opportunity to make this role your own as we establish our brand in the community. You’ll care about sustainability and the environment and be willing to grow and learn alongside the team in this space. You’ll challenge and support us to continuously improve our systems and processes to ensure your part of the business runs smoothly and efficiently.
Flexibility to work week days, weekends and holidays will be required, you’ll be legally entitled to work in NZ, and have a full, clean driver’s licence. Ideally you’ll know your way around a computer and a basic spreadsheet or two.
This role is a fixed term part time position with lots of opportunity for it to grow into a permanent role with great reward. December 2 start date.
To apply, please send your CV with a cover letter explaining why you are the gun that we need to claire@bikeglendhu.co.nz by 11/11/19.

You must be able to work solo and be able to undertake all levels of repairs including building of bikes, bleed brakes, service forks and shocks, replace bearings, bearings overhaul, replace drive trains, tune gears, replace cabling, and true wheels… you get it.
